Diet Smoothie

I modified my Fruit Smoothie recipe from the other day to lower the calories. The following recipe makes 2 large servings and each serving is about 50 calories (depends on what type of fruit you use). I made mine with diet Lemonade (Crystal Light brand) and it was great.
Diet Fruit Smoothie

4 Packets Sugar-free sweetner (like Splenda or Equal)
1/2 cup Strawberries, quartered with the stems and hulls removed*
1 medium peach, skinned and pitted*
1/2 cup lemon juice
ice 6-12 pieces
1/2 cup sugar-free lemonade or diet Sprite
In a blender, combine the sweetner, fruit, and lemon juice. Blend thoroughly. With the blender on, add ice a piece or two at a time. Add as much or as little ice as you desire (I like mine to be about the consistency of a Slurpee). Add lemonade or soda and blend until it is combined with the other ingredients. If your smoothie is thick, you may need to use a spoon to stir in the lemonade or soda.

  1. We hear how important getting your daily dose of vitamin and mineral rich fruits and vegetables are
for proper body functioning and overall health.
This will save you both money and time in the long run, with you being able to get more juice out of
each piece of fruit or vegetable that you put in the machine.

Fruits with high amount of citric acid should be consumed in moderation.
